Value is what all clients (whether they are listed companies, emerging businesses or public institutions) are after.
We try to provide the best legal services a client can get in the US, for an attractively reasonable budget. Our hourly rates of fees and expenses are competitive for southwest Florida. We consider transparency in fees and expenses to be in the mutual benefit of both the client and our firm and that the issue of value should be discussed from the first meeting or exchange of information, on the basis of which, in accordance with the subject matter of the services, the partner(s) and associate(s) in charge will be determined in agreement with the client, and the specific hourly rates of their services (as well as a forecast of the anticipated amount of work) discussed.
We achieve value not only by fair hourly rates, but also by efficiency, in which we try to keep the leading edge by:
- attracting and retaining the highest quality personnel
- continuously investing in our knowledge base, and setting standards in the use of communication technology and management
- allocating work in as efficient a way as possible, administrative work being done free of charge by staff and paralegals, and legal work being done by Mr. Belle
We will state our fees on a quarterly or monthly basis, as the client requests. Attached to each statement for fees is a list of services identifying, per day and per item, the services to which the statement pertains. For certain services other arrangement can be agreed, such as a flat fee, or an hourly rate applied adapted to the urgency, straightforwardness or result of the case. Expenses (file-related office and out-of-pocket expenses) are billed separately and usually represent between approximately 5% and 9% of the amount of the fees. Many clients prefer that the hourly fee rate be inclusive of expenses, which can of course be agreed. Disbursements are incurred only on the client's request and billed separately.
